I’m excited to announce that finding the air up there will be performed
in 2015 as part of the Concert of Millennials concert series.
Hey Folks!
If you’re in the San Francisco Bay area next week, please come on down to the First Congregational Church of Berkeley on Tuesday, October 7 at 8 p.m. for the Composer’s Inc Diane Elizabeth Clymer-Greenberg Memorial Concert. They are programming my piece finding the air up there which received the Suzanne and Lee Ettelson award earlier this year.
I’ll be there, so come say hi!

I’m excited to announce that “finding the air up there” has won second prize in the Robert Avalon International Competition for Composers. If you’re in Houston on November 1, I hope to see you at the concert!
Through the competition, the Foundation for Modern Music honors its late Artistic Director Robert Avalon, who helped develop and initiate several important new projects for the Foundation, including this competition for young, college and professional composers.
I have a review up about a new work from George Heathco and Misha Penton!
I’ve got a new Sounds Heard over at NewMusicBox on the fantastic Akropolis Reed Quintet.
SOLI is 20 folks, but you could never tell by looking at ’em!
If you’re in or around St. Petersburg, Florida tomorrow, consider checking out the New Music Conflagration performing a number of exciting works including my Sparrows Jump Nine Sandpipers for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, and piano.
Founder of River Oaks Chamber Orchestra Alecia Lawyer filled me in on commissions, development, outreach, and the future of the ensemble.
