prismatx ensemble – Metal and Bone

prismatxHi folks! I’m headed to Austin for the first time since 2014 for the premiere of Falling Color by the amazing prismatx ensemble. If you are around next Tuesday (9/26) at noon, come by the Blanton Museum and check out their entire “Metal and Bone” concert featuring music by Casey Martin, Andy Akiho, and yours truly.

Happy to announce the release of “Punto de encuentro.” A collaborative production between the Centro par la Música y Tecnología at the National University of Rosario (CEMyT UNR) and the University of Tennessee, this recording was conceived of and realized by my colleague Jorge Variego who kindly asked that I contribute a work to the effort.

Happy to learn that “finding the air up there” has been chosen as one of the two dozen works (out of 425 submitted!) to be programmed by Bold City Contemporary Ensemble.

NACUSA 2016 National Conference/SCI Snapshot Conference

  • We are very excited about the upcoming conference next week at the University of Tennessee. Composers from all around the country will join Nashville’s chatterbird ensemble for three days of concerts and other events at the Natalie Haslam Music Center. All events are free and open to the public, so come say hello!
